Payments

CHANNEL never touches money or payment data. It only ever shows a pay link or key a contact chose to publish, and opens PayPal, Revolut or Mercado Pago, or copies a Pix code or a Mexican SPEI number for you to paste into your own bank or wallet app. The payment itself happens entirely there.

Adding your own

Open Settings › Payments and add any you use: a PayPal.Me name, a Revolut username, a Mercado Pago link you paste from Mercado Pago itself, a Pix key, or a Mexican SPEI number. Each is optional, and each belongs to the profile you add it to.

The provider sees the payment, and anyone you give your pay name or key to can find you on that service. A Pix key that is a CPF, a CNPJ, a phone number or an email identifies you; a random key reveals the least. A CLABE identifies your bank account, and a DiMo phone number is your phone number.

A change you make here is sent to your contacts as soon as CHANNEL can reach them. They see it as a Pay option in your conversation.

Paying somebody

In a conversation, tap + and choose Pay. It shows a row for every provider that contact has added — PayPal, Revolut, Mercado Pago, Pix, Mexico (SPEI) — and nothing else. Nothing is sent in the conversation; tapping a row opens that provider outside CHANNEL, or, for Pix and SPEI, copies the key, number or a ready-to-paste code.

PayPal and Revolut

Tapping either opens that person's public page — paypal.me/<name> or revolut.me/<name> — in the provider's own app or a browser, exactly as if you had typed the address yourself.

Mercado Pago

Tapping opens the payment link exactly as that contact's Mercado Pago account issued it.

Pix

CHANNEL builds the standard Pix "copia e cola" code from the key, entirely on your phone, and the Pay sheet offers to copy either the bare key or the generated code. Paste either into your own bank or wallet app to complete the payment there.

Mexico (SPEI)

People in Mexico pay each other by SPEI to an 18-digit CLABE, or by DiMo to a 10-digit phone number linked to the account. CHANNEL checks the CLABE's check digit and the phone number's length, and the Pay sheet shows the value with a Copy button. Paste it into your bank app to send by SPEI.
