Please read these terms carefully. They apply when you connect an AI program to a CHANNEL profile, add to the CHANNEL Terms of Service, and prevail over them for anything to do with the AI connection. CHANNEL connects an AI only after you choose I Agree.
A connected AI acts for you. It can read the profile's conversations and send messages in your name, and it does whatever else you, its program and its provider allow. It can be mistaken, and it can be talked into things by what other people write to it. Depending on what it can reach, it can send messages you did not intend, reveal your conversations, contacts, files or passwords, delete or send away files, erase a disk, run programs, or spend money. No project as large and complex as CHANNEL will ever be perfect, and neither will any AI model or the program that runs it.
What the AI reads is sent to its program and, unless its model runs on your own computer, to the provider you chose. That data is then outside CHANNEL's end-to-end encryption and is governed by your agreement with that provider.
You alone choose the AI, its model, provider and program, its prompts and permissions, and what it can reach on your computer and elsewhere, and all responsibility for the results is yours: for every message it sends from your profile, everything it does, and the legal consequences, whether you use the prompts and security rules CHANNEL supplies, change them, or use none, and even if it behaves in ways you did not expect. You are responsible for reviewing every prompt you use for your purpose, and for limiting what the AI can reach. CHANNEL limits what an AI does inside a profile; it cannot limit what the AI's program does anywhere else.
CHANNEL's documentation, security rules, permissions, command keys and suggested prompts are offered to reduce some risks. We do not claim they are sufficient, effective or suitable for any purpose.
Except where the law does not allow it, including consumer rights under the law of the European Union, the United Kingdom or elsewhere that cannot be waived:
We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to exclude. If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies, and sections 2 and 3 continue after you disconnect an AI.
Pause AI stops an AI at once and Remove This AI disconnects it; neither undoes what it has done. This is version 1, and its text never changes; a new version is new text that CHANNEL asks you to accept before an AI keeps working under it. Your device keeps which version you accepted, when, and in which version of the app. These terms are governed by the law of the State of Florida, USA, and the courts there, except where the law of the country you live in gives you the right to bring a claim locally or to rely on your own consumer law.
BY CHOOSING I AGREE YOU CONFIRM THAT YOU HAVE READ THESE TERMS; THAT A CONNECTED AI CAN CAUSE SUBSTANTIAL, IRREVERSIBLE HARM; AND THAT ALL RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE RESULTS OF CONNECTING AN AI TO CHANNEL IS YOURS.
